YILDIZ GALVANİZ SAC SANAYİ VE TİCARET LTD. ŞTİ. (the “Company”) takes all necessary administrative and technical measures to ensure that your personal data is collected, stored and shared lawfully and to protect your privacy.
This notice is provided under Article 10 of Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (the “Law”) to inform you transparently about how your personal data is collected, the purposes and legal grounds of processing, the parties it may be transferred to, and your rights.
a) Data Controller
Your personal data is collected and processed by Yıldız Galvaniz Sac Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. as data controller, within the scope described below.
b) Purposes of Processing
We collect identity, contact, customer, customer transaction, transaction security, legal compliance, performance and marketing/sales data from our customers, prospective customers, employees, job applicants, business partners, suppliers and representatives of public bodies; and, for employees and only to the extent required by law, special categories of data such as health data. This data is processed in order to:
- provide our products and services, receive quotes and orders, conclude and perform contracts and run shipping and logistics;
- fulfil our obligations towards you, issue records, invoices and documents and handle payments;
- comply with record-keeping, reporting, tax and other obligations under applicable law;
- receive, assess and respond to your requests, suggestions and complaints and improve customer satisfaction;
- inform you about our products and services and communicate with you;
- run information security, business continuity, audit and risk management activities;
- run purchasing, finance, human resources and legal operations;
- review and respond to requests from authorities or from you.
c) Transfers
Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be transferred to our business partners, shareholders and suppliers; to persons and institutions permitted by tax, social security, commercial and other applicable legislation; to legally authorised public authorities and courts; to accounting, legal, IT and similar service providers; and to logistics and cargo companies delivering your orders — in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the Law.
ç) Method and Legal Grounds of Collection
Your personal data is collected verbally, in writing or electronically — directly from you or persons authorised to act on your behalf — through our website, e-mail, phone, WhatsApp, social media accounts and in-person meetings. It is processed on the legal grounds set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law: explicit provision in law, compliance with a legal obligation, performance of a contract, our legitimate interests (provided your fundamental rights are not harmed), data made public by you, establishment, exercise or protection of a right, and your explicit consent.
d) Your Rights under Article 11
You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; request information about processing; learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly; know the third parties to whom data is transferred in Turkey or abroad; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request deletion or destruction of data when the reasons for processing no longer exist; object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. The Company will conclude your request as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest.
e) How to Apply
You may submit your request in Turkish and in writing, via registered e-mail (KEP), secure electronic or mobile signature, or from the e-mail address you previously registered with us. Your application must include your name, surname and signature (if written), your Turkish ID number (or nationality and passport number for foreign nationals), your address for notifications, your e-mail address and phone number if any, and the subject of your request.
